So...I has good things.
I has a meeting with the associate dean of students at my college tomorrow, to talk about trans issues on campus. She seems really interested in what I have to say. I'm pushing (in order of hoped-forness, most hoped-for first) The opportunity for pre-name-change transfolk to use a "Preferred Name" on their ID cards in lieu of their legal name, The establishment of single-use or gender-neutral bathrooms on campus, and the adding of transition expenses to the university's health coverage. Wish me Luck!
Also, I have a job fair which might net me an interview next Wednesday. And I'm getting interviewed for a thesis paper on transyouth.
Oh, and I got my mom to agree to teach a transgirl friend of mine how to parallel park. This should be interesting, as my mom KNOWS my friend is trans, and has never actually interacted with another transwoman.
