dorkphoenyx, I had a wonderful meeting with my Associate Dean of Students, AND the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs. Paradoxically, I think I might have a good chance of getting trans expenses covered under health insurance, since my companion pointed out some things she could get covered that I might (or do currently now) need that I couldn't get covered. They asked a whole bunch of questions, and I really wish I'd recorded it...but I didn't. They told me to let know if I had any more questions, so I emailed them a thank-you note today asking them about the changing rooms at the fitness center, and which side I would use.
